FAQ
Will quality drop a lot?
At 70–85% quality the difference is hard to see, and files are usually less than half the size.
Can I compress to under 500 KB?
Yes. Enter 500 in 'Target size' and the quality is adjusted automatically to fit. If needed, dimensions are reduced slightly too.
Does it compress PNG?
Yes. PNGs keep transparency and are compressed by reducing colors. For photos, converting to WebP or JPG is much smaller.
Are my images stored on a server?
No. Everything happens in your browser, so it's fast even on a slow connection.
